Death Stranding

As the world becomes increasingly fragmented, Sam Porter Bridges reconnects America, one delivery at a time. Hideo Kojima's sprawling masterpiece was my favorite game from last year, despite it's unconventional gameplay loop.

It was simultaneously primal, haunting, focused and entertaining, and built a game around themes of connection and society that are proving to be eerily prescient to today's issues as we fragment ourselves to prevent Corona from spreading.

I tried a lot of new techniques with this poster, including playing around with some different Photoshop brushes than I usually lean on and embracing some painterly techniques a bit outside my standard comicking toolset.
